Shane Bzdok (pronounced "Biz-dock") grew up on a 26-acre farm in rural North Dakota, where an early immersion in nature and creativity shaped the person he would become. Inspired by his father — a mechanic turned photographer and graphic designer — Shane was drawing before he could read.

A typography class in college ignited an obsession that has fueled nearly 30 years as a visual designer. Running alongside that career is a deep love of writing, from published industry articles to fiction rooted in the imaginative terrain of speculative storytelling.

Shane serves as both co-creator, writer and designer forThe Midnight Vault (book and event) and the designer for numerous other books including Volume Two and Cherry Kills.
